RACS Money Raising Activities

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust (CFT) is this year's RACS Charity.

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is an inherited disease which affects vital organs in the body, especially the lungs and digestive system, by clogging them with thick, sticky mucus. It is the UK's most common life-threatening inherited disease and affects 7,500 babies, children and young adults. Later complications can include diabetes, osteoporosis and liver disease. There is no known cure for CF at present, but doctors and scientists throughout the world are confident that a cure will be found - we are talking about WHEN rather than IF. The gene causing CF has been identified and research is being done on how to replace it. So please contribute generously to RACS' money-raising events. It is a very good cause!

In addition to RACS official events, various members also participate in events to raise money for both the CFT and other charities. Watch this space for forthcoming fund raising activities.
